This week, Year 4 have read their debate speeches out to their audience. Children have been writing debate speeches based on our class text Gangsta Granny. We have really enjoyed this and were really confident when we shared our work with each other!
We have been learning about our teeth. We know that we have different types of teeth: incisors, canines, premolars and molars. When we get older, our wisdom teeth will also grow.
We have also enjoyed learning about how important hygiene is for our mouths. We know how to look after our teeth properly and what foods we should be eating to keep them healthy.
We have been learning about forces in Science.
This week, we have investigated how vehicles move on different surfaces.
We found out that carpet has more friction than the smooth plastic surface that we used. We enjoyed experimenting and finding out why things move more fluently on particular surfaces.
We are learning about Henry VIII and ‘The Tudors’ in Year 4. We are fascinated by Henry VIII and the way he lived his life.
We have been learning all about the importance of having a male heir to the throne and it has been exciting learning all about the reasons why. We had an interesting discussion about the topic and were fascinated by the differences in our Royal Family and The Tudors. During our History lessons, we have been discovering new vocabulary and learning the definitions of new words.
Do YOU know why it was so important for Henry VIII to have a son?
